Second Skin is a large-scale colour photograph created from a sample of artificial animal fur, photographed in multiple arrangements with a large-format camera. The resulting images were digitally hand-woven to form a seamless, non-repeating surface. Part of an ongoing exploration of post-natural materials, the work emphasizes plastic’s capacity to produce and mimic synthetic nature.
